Transit Liabilities
When you trust us with your freight transportation, we're taking on a huge responsibility. It's a big deal. We follow the standard industry limits for cargo loss or damage during transit as dictated by NC state and federal forwarding regulations.
Did you know we've safely moved thousands of shipments this past year? In the rare event something goes sideways, our liability is typically linked to the weight of the goods, unless you've declared a specific higher value beforehand.
Are you wondering what happens with delays? While our team at Atlantic-pacific Van & Storage, Inc. works around the clock, transit times are estimates, not guarantees. We don't cover indirect losses from late deliveries, so please plan ahead!
Warehousing Limits
Storing freight in Goldsboro involves specific safety protocols. We're proud of our facility at 507 S Center Street, but even the best warehouses have rules.
Our liability for stored cargo is restricted to a maximum of $0.50 per pound, per item, unless other arrangements are on paper. Insurance is your best friend here! We highly recommend your own coverage for high-value items.
Why do we do this? It allows us to keep warehouse rates affordable for everyone. It's about balance. We maintain strict temperature and security controls, but nature is nature.
Service Terms & Invoices
Invoices are due upon receipt unless your account has pre-approved credit. We're logistics experts, not bankers! Late payments may trigger a 1.5% monthly fee on the unpaid balance.
Any disputes? Please let us know in writing within 7 days of the invoice date. We'll listen. Communication is how we've built this business since we started.
